How it works

Sign up now, play on the night.

Most of it happens before anybody gets in a car.

01

Make a profile

Your name, your face, and the team you are riding with. It takes under a minute and there is no password to forget.

02

Build your team

Two to six people in one vehicle, one of them not drinking. Name it, photograph it, and talk to everybody else in the feed while you wait.

03

The list shows at five, opens at six

Every task appears at once, with what it is worth. Drive, do the thing, photograph it. Points land the second you send them.

04

Back by nine

Everyone converges at the finish. Judges hand out bonus points for the ones that deserve them, then the final board goes up on the television.

The short version

Five rules, and they are not negotiable.

One sober driver per team. Named on the team page before the night starts. This is the rule the whole thing depends on.
If it would get you kicked out, arrested, injured, banned from a business, or divorced, don't do it. Nothing on the list asks for it, and no bonus covers it.
One car per team. Two to six people. Nobody splits up to cover more ground; that is not the game.
Proof or it did not happen. A photo or a short video, taken in the app, on the night. Nothing from the camera roll.
Nine o'clock is nine o'clock. Anything sent after the buzzer does not count, however good it is.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It is a website that behaves like an app. On an iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and it gets its own icon and full use of the camera. On Android, Chrome offers to install it.

What if I do not have a team yet?

Sign up anyway and start one. Everybody else can see it and join, and you can move between teams right up until the hunt starts.

What happens if I lose signal?

Nothing is lost. Photos and submissions are written to your phone first and send themselves the moment you have a bar again. You can keep playing in a dead spot.

Is there a cost?

No. Bring something to share at the finish if you want to be popular.

Who can see my photos?

Everyone signed up for this hunt, in the feed and on the board. Nothing is public, nothing is indexed, and the whole thing comes down after the event.

I am running the hunt, not playing it.

Hosts and judges have their own sign-in. Ask whoever is organising for your code.

Get your team on the board.

It takes a minute, and the people who sign up early are the ones who end up with a full car.
